At the conclusion of the SSSC Board Election, we welcome Avtar Kaur Khalsa Thielefeldt from Otzberg, Germany and Jai Pal Singh Khalsa from Marina del Rey, California, to the SSSC Board, along with returning member, Guru Prem Singh Khalsa from Los Angeles, California.
We are deeply grateful for their willingness to serve and share their skills and gifts in support of our Dharma, our global sangat, and the shared mission of the SSSC.

We honor and celebrate Gurumeet Kaur Khalsa as she concludes her service on the SSSC Board. Since 2020, she has served with unwavering devotion, bringing discernment, clarity, and an exceptional gift for eloquent and thoughtful communication. Her contributions include developing important policies and communications, including the Statement of Religious Principles and Protocols, in service to the SSSC and the Sadh Sangat.
Gurumeet Kaur, ERYT 500, is the Director of Create Inner Peace, a Minister of Divinity of Sikh Dharma, and a Professional Teacher Trainer of Kundalini Yoga. She has worked closely with Bhai Sahiba Bibiji Inderjit Kaur Khalsa, PhD, to honor and support first responders, and serves on the Board of the Rise in Love Foundation, helping survivors of human trafficking and severe trauma reclaim their healing and self-autonomy. Her life reflects a deep commitment to sharing yogic technology for stress management and serving those in need, both locally and globally. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, strength, devotion, and spirit of seva she has brought to the SSSC.
And with deep gratitude, we recognize Sham Kaur Khalsa as she concludes six years of dedicated service on the SSSC Board. Throughout her term, she served as SSSC Co-President, Chair of the Governance Committee, a member of the Finance, Legal, and Steering Committees, and liaison to the SikhNet Board. She worked tirelessly to strengthen SSSC governance, operations, and systems, bringing fairness, integrity, patience, and a profound love for the Dharma to every aspect of her service.
Sham Kaur serves as a Climate Change Specialist with the United Nations Development Programme. A certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, she has also served on the Global Teachers Council and as an SDI Regional Minister Coordinator in Latin America. She has generously shared her tremendous depth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom with the SSSC. We are profoundly grateful for her many contributions and for the grace, devotion, and steadfast commitment she has brought to the organization and our shared mission.
