Khalsa Family Farms: Leading the Way for Fresh Food

Siri Vishnu Singh Khalsa, owner of Khalsa Family Farms, met with Senator Lujan and Undersecretary Moffett at the Farmers Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico. 

 

They were one of five area farms invited for presentation and discussion. Also present, were the head of the USDA in New Mexico, the New Mexican newspaper, and a few others. 

 

The discussion focused on small farms’ needs for funding for expansion and infrastructure, as well as recommending a state office to assist small farms with grant writing.
