IHRP Closure Statement Summary and Update on Community Outreach Efforts

The Siri Singh Sahib Corporation is announcing the completion of the formal work of the Independent Healing and Reparations Program (IHRP). We would also like to recognize all the tremendous efforts over the last four years put into the Compassionate Reconciliation Process as a whole.

The IHRP, guided by independent administrators, provided a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their experiences and to receive reparations that supported 95.8% of the participants.

The IHRP was a very important part of a whole array of many different efforts rolled out over the last four years to help our community and build organizational systems that ensure safety for our community.

Programs Implemented included:

  • Listening Tours
  • Trainings in Restorative Justice, Conflict Resolution, Facilitation
  • Trainings in Teacher / Minister Misconduct Institutional Response
  • Counseling Programs
  • Miri Piri Academy in depth Child Safety Independent expert analysis and implementation
  • IDEA Commission – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Assessment and Training
  • Ethics and Professional Standards Office – Strengthened and conducted independent assessment for continuous improvement
