About Kundalini Research Institute (KRI)
KRI is a non-profit organization that holds the teachings of Yogi Bhajan and provides accessible and relevant resources to teachers and students of Kundalini Yoga. The focus of KRI is Kundalini Yoga trainings and courses, Library of Teachings, research, publishing and E-learning.
Our vision is to be a progressive, global organization that fosters a spiritual, aware and self-empowered humanity. The current KRI Board is welcoming more members to join them on this mission.

Qualifications we look for in a candidate:
- Strong relationship with and belief in KRI – its mission, lineage, legacy, businesses, and community.
- Strong relationship with Kundalini Yoga as Trainer, Teacher, Student, Researcher, or Author, which includes (but are not limited to) the following:
- Commitment to a daily spiritual practice that includes Kundalini Yoga and meditation.
- Commitments to the continuous improvement of one’s own professional knowledge, skills, and awareness.
- Committed to living “Healthy, Happy and Holy” lifestyle.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to set aside personal interests and viewpoints for the greater good.
Valuable skills the board is looking for:
- Previous non-profit board service
- PR or marketing
- Legal or corporate compliance matters.
- Accounting, finance, investment
- Fundraising skills
- Leadership Role/Executive Management
- Program Development
- Team and Community Building
- Yoga and meditation as business/professional
- Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher
Timeline for Board Appointment Process
September 1 – October 12, 2024:
Open application period for applicants to apply
October 14 – November 30, 2024:
Interview commission conducts the interview process with applicants and makes recommendation to the SSSC Governance Committee and Board.
December 1, 2024 – January 15, 2025:
SSSC Governance Committee and Board review the recommended candidates and make final decision on new KRI Board members.
January 16 – 31, 2025
New board members are announced. Onboarding new board members begins.
