After an exhaustive year-long process including research, legal input, consultation with the International Khalsa Council and the Aquarian Trainer Academy, the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation (SSSC) is pleased to announce the upcoming election for three (3) Board of Trustee seats whose terms will expire this Fall 2026. 

Please read this entire announcement carefully, as it contains important information regarding the election process, eligibility requirements, procedures, and timeline established under the SSSC Bylaws and Election Policy.

Nominations Open

You are invited to nominate up to three (3) Sikh Dharma Ministers to serve on the SSSC Board of Trustees. All members of the Sangat are welcome to submit nominations. Ministers may nominate themselves as well. Please note that nominees must be Ministers in Good Standing (“Current”) to be eligible for consideration.

Please include the nominee’s full name and any relevant contact information. Before submitting nominations, please check with your nominees to ensure they are willing to serve if selected. You are encouraged to submit your nominations as soon as possible. 

Please also verify through the Sikh Dharma International Ministry Directory (https://sdministry.org/minister-directory/) that your nominees are Ministers in Good Standing (“Current”), or confirm with them that they intend to bring their standing “Current” prior to the eligibility deadline of 5 pm PST on June 18, 2026.

On the last page of the survey please check the box that says ‘send me a copy of my responses via email’ in order to receive a copy of your survey.

Vetting Commission

An independent Vetting Commission has been appointed by the SSSC to review candidates for compliance with the qualifications and criteria outlined in the attached documentation, including the Vetting Commission Motion and Statement of Religious Principles and Protocols.

The members of the Vetting Commission are:

  • Mukhia Sardarni Sahiba Hari Dharam Kaur Khalsa — New Mexico — Granthi, Sri Singhasan Gurdwara, Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, Española 
  • Sardarni Sahiba Nam Kaur Khalsa — California — 3HO International Board Member, Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) Board Member
  • Singh Sahib Fateh Singh Khalsa — Germany — 3HO Europe Board Member, Deputy Chair of European Khalsa Council
  • Beant Singh Khalsa — Virginia — Herndon Sangat Member

Election Timeline

The current election timeline anticipates that newly elected Trustees will take their seats on or before the Fall Khalsa Council meetings in early October 2026.

The Election Process

The Siri Singh Sahib Corporation is governed by a fourteen (14) member Board of Trustees. Eleven (11) Trustees are elected. Two members of the Board — the Bhai Sahiba and the Siri Sikdar Sahiba — serve as ex officio members holding permanent seats. In addition, Kulbir Singh Puri currently serves on the SSSC Board through a special appointment.

Under the SSSC Bylaws, Trustees serve five-year terms, with elections held every two and one-half years for open seats. For this election cycle, the eligible electorate will consist of Ministers in Good Standing (“Current”) as of July 15, 2026.

Seats Up for Election

The three (3) Board seats currently up for election are:

  • Sardarni Sahiba Gurumeet Kaur Khalsa — Española, New Mexico
  • Singh Sahib GuruPrem Singh Khalsa — Los Angeles, California
  • Sardarni Sahiba Sham Kaur Khalsa — La Paz, Bolivia

These Trustees may choose to stand for election with the other nominees if they so choose.
