The SSSC approves $25,000 for the documentary as noted below.  Funds are to be provided largely from Special Projects Fund with the balance from miscellaneous SSSC budget funds.

The documentary aims to clarify once and for all the links between Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma and the lineage of KY before Yogi Bhajan and through time.  It will indirectly put YB and KY  in a positive light through interviews and stories shared by influential figures in the Sikh and yogic world in India and will show in a scholarly way the links and legacy we share with Sikh roots. We will interview leaders in India including those who personally knew YB. The majority of the filming will take place in India, capturing meaningful narratives and settings tied to his legacy as well as some current students from around the world via zoom and video interviews.

whereas the duties of the SSSC Board are quite complex, involving multiple organizations and impacting many thousands of people,

The SSSC Board has determined that additional help in researching and evaluating policies and preparing motions would improve the SSSC Board’s effectiveness and results.

Darshan Singh  has offered to work for up to 15 hours per week on an unpaid basis  directly for the SSSC Board to help implement this improvement.  The Board has determined that Darshan Singh’s 54 plus years of dedication to our Dharma and multiple occupational experiences makes him well suited to this role.
